Delete your FāyDer account

Two ways to do it. Both end in the same place.

In the app

• Open the navigation drawer.
• Tap Account, then Delete Account.
• Confirm on the warning dialog. Deletion starts right away.

If you signed in a while ago, the app may ask you to sign out and sign back in first before it will delete the account. That's a security check, so that a forgotten unlocked phone can't be used to delete someone's account.

By email

Email support@fayder.net from the address on your account, with "Delete my account" in the subject line and your username in the body. We use the fact that the email comes from your registered address to confirm it's really you, and we'll confirm in writing when it's done.

What gets deleted

• Your login and email address.
• Your profile: display name and profile photo.
• Every bet you posted, public or private, and the proof images you uploaded with them.
• Your follower and following connections, removed from the other person's side as well.

This happens immediately when you delete from inside the app, or within 30 days of an emailed request. Encrypted backups roll off on their own within 90 days.

What may be left behind, and why

• Activity on other people's posts. A comment you left, a vote you cast, or a tail or fade you placed on someone else's bet may stay attached to that post, because it's part of that other person's content. Email us and we'll remove those too.
• Anonymous, aggregated counts that can no longer be tied back to you — for example the total number of bets posted in a given week.
• Records we're legally required to hold onto, for as long as the law requires.
